JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for overall efficient administration and functioning of Catholic Charities Central Intake, which includes Emergency Financial Assistance Program, Housing, Telephone Assistance Program, White Voucher Program, Oishei Safety Net HUBs, and the Apollonia Guild. Responsible for program operations, supervision of staff, program data collection, program administrative duties, program budget monitoring, and standard agency involved administrative duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exemplify Catholic Charities' mission, vision, guiding principles and policies and procedures
- Adhere to high ethical standards applicable to position and consistent with the Catholic Charities' Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, legal mandates & labor laws, NYS Justice Center, managing contractual regulations and other accreditation standards.
- Remains abreast of Erie County & City of Buffalo resources and opportunities available by attending meetings, networking and becoming involved in appropriate initiatives.
- Establishes collaborative relationships with Erie County & City of Buffalo leaders to ensure a full range of client services and adapts services to meet changing County needs.
- Provides staff with supervisory conferences on a planned and regular basis. Offers staff a professional relationship that is conducive to learning.
- Encourages staff to develop an increasing awareness of Erie County & City of Buffalo resources and delegates involvement with the County/Community.
- Demonstrates commitment to Agency mission & values; instills these in staff
- Orients and trains staff to office procedures
- Evaluates and establishes County priorities in regard to the delivery of service, according to the needs of Erie County & City of Buffalo and in keeping with Catholic Charities mission and purpose.
- Ensures and promotes appropriate and adequate reimbursement for Services
- Maintains adequate agency staffing by recruiting and hiring according to agency policy.
- Maintains continuing evaluations of staff's performance, submits provisional and yearly evaluations.
- Researches availability of resource building avenues to facilitate program development, funding and collaboration.
- Keeps self and staff informed of current and changing County & City resources.
- Promotes and educates Erie County & City of Buffalo departments regarding agency services via marketing, group presentations and media contact.
- Coordinates collaborations, initiatives, and/or cooperatives within Erie County & City of Buffalo to assure and maintain proper agency reputation and cooperative spirit while also maintaining agency integrity of programs.
- Actively participate in CCB training, committees, outside workshops, conferences, continuing education classes, and in agency-sponsored and Diocese-sponsored events as relevant.
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Program supervisory experience, which includes program operations, staff management, budget overview, data collection, and program development
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Services related field
- One year of Human Services related program management includes staff management, budget overview, data collection, and program development
