The Office of Marriage, Family and Respect Life (OMFRL) conducts programs, and supports the Bishop and pastors on issues related to marriage, family, and respect life ministry. OMFRL also operates Gabriel Project and Project Rachel, ministries to pregnant women and post-abortive women and men, respectively. In addition, the office assists the Virginia Catholic Conference in educating legislators and voters and advocates on issues in support of families and human life. This position is part-time 5 hours per week.
The Program Coordinator position is responsible for organizing quarterly networking meetings of pregnancy assistance providers for women in need within the boundaries of Northern Virginia and interfacing with ecumenical and interreligious pro-life leaders as well as agencies and organizations that offer assistance to this vulnerable population. The goal is to maintain an interactive network of providers who regularly communicate to ensure that all women in need receive the most comprehensive care possible before, during, and after their pregnancies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Coordinate quarterly meetings, including the production and distribution of meeting materials (invitations, agendas, handouts, programs, minutes from each meeting, etc.) and meeting refreshments.
- Facilitate communications with potential member organizations and monitor the PSN email group account.
- Identify ecumenical and inter-religious Pro-Life pregnancy support groups and cultivate their membership in the PSN.
- Work closely with the Pregnancy Life Assistance Network (PLAN) to ensure that there is a robust exchange of ideas and information to ensure the we have the most up to date pregnancy assistance provider information available.
- Maintain on-going contact with parishes to ensure parishes have the most up to date resources to best serve mothers and families in need.
- Develop and maintain a webpage with pertinent information regarding each of the organizations participating in the network.
- Knowledge/Skills: Strong organizational, customer service, and public relations skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Publisher or equivalent, Macromedia Contribute or equivalent, and all aspects of Internet usage; must work independently and without regular supervision, and take initiative in problem-solving; must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
- Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Years and Types of Experience: 1 to 2 years’ Catholic ministry experience.
