The Second Cook is responsible for:
- Preparation of room service meals, vegetables, salads, and specialty items for patients, employee dining room and the Patio Cafe meals.
- Cleaning and restocking work areas.
This position requires:
- Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- ServSafe and DOH Food Handlers Certificates required. Expired certifications must be recertified within 6 months of employment.
- 3 years' experience in institutional, restaurant, or food service setting with knowledge in quality food preparation, cooking techniques, presentation, and customer service.
- Culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Standing for long periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
The pay for this position ranges from $22.66 - $28.44 per hour.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
