About the Position
Cavender is looking for a Recruiting Director to elevate our recruiting efforts. The Recruiting Director will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of our talent acquisition capabilities including technology solutions, recruitment marketing, recruitment strategy, community relations, and high-volume recruitment.
Flexible, hybrid in-office/remote work schedule.
Occasional travel in San Antonio and surrounding areas may be required for job fairs and dealership visits.

Recruiting Director Responsibilities for multiple dealerships:
- Lead recruiting strategy, applicant pipeline development, strategic sourcing, and recruiting initiatives.
- Develop a strategy to ensure hiring top talent is a systematic business process and supports our values internally and in the community.
- Develops initiatives and programs focused on building our brand that supports professional growth/advancement of our associates
- Maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends, and recruitment standards.
- Continually stay current on new and developing sourcing avenues.
- Utilize continuous improvement practices to streamline and improve the efficiency on our existing recruiting processes
- Ensure compliance with all external regulatory and internal policy recruiting and hiring requirements (EEO tracking, background screening, pre-employment drug screening, etc.)
- Improve interviewing processes within the dealerships management teams
- Leverage and improve key recruiting channels ie: employee referrals
- Build job postings through various resources
- Work with our Marketing team to create various marketing media for recruiting and job fairs.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs to identify the right talent & ensure hiring goals are met.
- Develop metrics to measure success
- Processes all applications in HRIS system (Paycor)
- Follow up with managers for feedback, updates on interviews, and pending hiring.
- Work with directors to build job descriptions for newly created positions.
- Process pre-employment screenings and maintain documentation
Recruiting Director Requirements:
- 3 years of Recruiting experience in a high-growth environment
- Innovative, creative problem-solving mindset, with the ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-changing, and highly collaborative environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people leadership skills
- Strong follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in high-stress situations.
- Time Management skills.
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen.
