Senior Video Editor - CBN News (VA)

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Senior Video Editor to successfully contribute to our production team based in Virginia Beach, VA.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 5-7 years of editing experience with postproduction or television facility desirable
• Working knowledge of computer editing systems, software and related equipment as well as exhibit creative concepts of editing composition with ability to learn and apply new and advanced technology quickly
• Ability to exercise judgment/concepts given a script or project with the willingness and ability to choose media appropriate for filling and/or for breaking News situations
• Demonstrative knowledge of NTSC and PAL digital television standards as well as necessary conversion techniques
• Must be skilled in color perception, and possess meticulous attention to visual and composition detail with ability to color correct video as necessary
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with positive interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Must exhibit skill with advanced audio mixing and editing techniques
• Possess competency to diagnose and resolve technical problems and discrepancies with both hardware and software involving digital editing processes
• Capable of performing well under acute pressure and immediate air priority situations
• Flexibility to perform varying, changing and multiple shifts, extended hours, and meet expectation of last minute work demands
