What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Analyst position at CBRE?
CBRE is seeking an Energy Analyst to work as a technical resource assisting with all aspects of work related to primary data, analytics & reporting of energy, and sustainability strategies. The ideal candidate will be delivering practical insights from environmental & utility data and assisting in the deployment & management of a comprehensive E&S Program.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with E&S Manager and other staff to enhance current service offerings and client goals.
- Collect and evaluate monthly electricity, water/sewer, and natural gas/oil usage data with commentary on actual usage versus expected usage. Coordinate with appropriate partners to explain significant variances.
- Process data workbooks from all applicable data sources.
- Review data and validate energy savings resulting from operational programs designed to curtail utility consumption.
- Compare collected data against industry benchmarks and prepare reports of findings.
- Drive the analysis of various evidential outputs from partner systems, internal program components, and system tools.
- Coordinate energy and sustainability initiatives, monitor compliance, analyze, and communicate externally facing reporting.
- Review utility bills (i.e., electricity, natural gas, oil, and municipal water & sewer) for accuracy and verify compliance with the associated rates and tariffs.
- Prepare and analyze monthly data with the Program Director to validate normalized savings, create exception reports for senior management, and develop explanations of potential variances and year-over-year trends.
- Review all data inputs to ensure the accuracy and timely submission of required reports. Ensure that errors are corrected in a timely manner and are escalated properly.
- Provide feedback on process improvements needed for quality in service delivery.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
