Overview:
CBS Television Network is looking for a Director, Publicity to join the Media Relations team. Responsibilities include:
Build and implement press strategies and develop timelines to improve show and actor profiles.
Liaise with producers, talent, and management to facilitate ongoing publicity support for series.
Plan, develop, and implement talent publicity trips, press junkets and on-set media visits in support of series.
Write press, storylines, speeches, itineraries, and social media copy for assigned series. Basic Qualifications:
5 years experience in media relations.
Bachelor’s degree in either English, Communications, Journalism, Publicity or related field. Additional Qualifications:
Relationships with entertainment press (traditional print press as well as online, blog writers and social media websites).
Excellent communication and writing skills
Strong knowledge and understanding of pop culture and social media/ digital / online / viral press.
Must be a self-starter who can build a well thought out press plan for each of our talent, to improve publicity, pitching traditional and non-traditional media.
Strong interpersonal, leadership and customer service skills with phenomenal attention to detail.
Must demonstrate a high quality of work performed, both accurately and efficiently.
Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced work environment.
