Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the supervision and direction of all licensed and non-licensed services provided through CCORs licensed home care agency. This position is accountable for CCORs adherence to federal, state, accreditation and organizations standards for the provision of client care services. The Director of Nursing is responsible for clinical records substantiating services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Department.
- Supervise all Clinical staff.
- Conduct direct supervisions in the field with nursing staff no less than every four months.
- Ensure follow up on all client or employee grievances.
- Actively participate in CCORs Quality Assurance Committee.
- Complete auditing for quality assurance.
- Attend and/or facilitate interdisciplinary meetings with direct nursing staff to assist with care planning and problem resolution for challenging cases.
- Provide ongoing training for nursing staff.
- Act as on-call nurse for CCOR and provide after-hour support to on-call nursing staff as needed.
- Ensure adherence to mandated provisional supervision for field staff and required annual performance evaluations.
- Responsible for management of the clinical portions of the Electronic Health Record.
- Maintain all agency records and reports according to agency policy and procedures.
- Oversee the PCA Training program.
- Become a DOH approved PCA Training Program instructor and participate in the education of PCA candidates regularly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $85,000 - $100,000 with bonus potential
Position Requirements:
- Must have current and active RN license for New York State.
- Must have at least two years of nursing experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Two years of home care experience preferred.
- Completion of a background check.
- Ability to relate to diverse and multi-cultural populations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities.
- Pass a physical examination and immunization requirements after being offered employment and complete a health assessment annually, thereafter.
- Possess a current, valid New York State drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
- Completion of CCOR's orientation program.
