Job Summary

Purpose

To drive the overall development & conversion of the sales pipeline for the Data Insight Platform in the U.S.

This is a multi-faceted role for a candidate who thrives upon the responsibility of establishing, cultivating & ultimately closing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will relish the prospecting process & convincing leading consumer brand manufacturers & retailers of the value of RLG’s Data Insight Platform & suite of regulatory compliance & circular economy solutions. By the end of your first year you will be expected to independently manage the full-service sales cycle including proposal development & contract execution.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead generation: Develop & manage the sales pipeline. Actively & effectively prospect for new business opportunities with sizeable target companies.
  • Pipeline management: Use a CRM to record all account contacts, including meetings & phone calls.
  • Generate Revenue: Achieve an individual annual revenue target. Convert inbound sales inquiries. Possess a comprehensive knowledge of all RLG services to enable cross selling opportunities. Prepare & present tenders, proposals & contracts for service.
  • Brand & service advocacy: Represent RLG at client & industry events to raise brand profile & service proposition. Train staff on the Data Insight Platform to optimize cross selling opportunities.
  • Service Development: Identify latent client needs & collaborate with operational teams to affect service innovations & improvements. Ensure a smooth handover from sale to operational account manager. Assist the Business Unit Manager to track financial progress throughout the year & forecast where new sales & marketing activity is required to fill pipeline.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain a current understanding of the wider industry, emerging trends & policy developments.
  • Marketing: Execute marketing plans including, but not limited to, blogs, webinars, speaking roles at events etc. in coordination with Business Unit team.

Your Profile

  • Demonstrable track record of achieving consistent sales growth & key account satisfaction with new & existing customers
  • Experience in selling to senior decision makers (C-level) with strong writing, communication, presentation & negotiation skills
  • Comfortable generating, developing & converting new sales leads
  • Customer focused approach
  • Good solution oriented problem-solving ability
  • Excellent customer & account management skills
  • Team player with ability to lead & deliver projects as required
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to work to own deadlines & commercially aware
  • Experience in the Environmental Compliance sector or consulting service related industries is preferred but not required.

Location: Position is largely remote but must be able to easily travel to our Iselin, New Jersey. Relocation assistance is not provided.
