What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Help Desk Technician position at CDC Solutions/Computer Discount Center?
We are seeking an entry level IT Technician for our business services help desk. The desirable candidate must be well organized, pay close attention to detailed instruction and a strong attention to detail. You will be interfacing with our business clients so a pleasant professional attitude is required. This position will be at our Williamsville location working under the direction of a Senior Technician working directly with our business clients.
Partial responsibilities include:
- Serve as the first contact with our business clients who need technical assistance via the phone or email
- Perform some very basic troubleshooting using provided limited diagnostic techniques
- Assist in password resets
- Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Check internal logs for reported issues
- Generate work orders from reported issues
- The goal will be to provide a quick resolution and excellent customer service
- Keep record of problems and their resolution
- Follow-up with customers
- Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve
- Suggest improvements on procedures
- Other tasks as needed by management
- We must stress this position may consist of various site assignments and possibly off-hours work. Employee must have reliable transportation. Drug and/or background checks may be required depending upon client requests.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
