CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary

Mechanical Engineer with 4 to 10 years expertise in technical analysis, performance of high-level engineering calculations, writing of technical reports, and other responsibilities associated with identifying and resolving a variety of engineering challenges in the chemical and related industries. Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while providing accurate and effective results.

Responsibilities

Perform various technical analysis' and calculations as dictated by the needs of our Clients.

Effectively interact with Clients to identify specific needs or requirements.

Develop / modify technical drawings (Vessel, pump, HE, piping models).

Identification of deficiencies and areas for improvement in industrial equipment and systems.

Develop engineering specifications for pumps, vessels, and other equipment, vendor contact as needed.

Provide Mechanical support to other engineering disciplines.

Occasional local and overnight travel my be required.

Accountable for producing work that is accurate, timely, and complete.

Accurate accounting of time and worked performed for client billing.

Follow all client safety rules and regulations while on client sit.

Coordinate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers and Client counter parts to ensure safe and timely project execution.

Qualifications

Experienced as a Mechanical Engineer in or related to the Petro-Chemical Industry.

Able to work on multiple projects to meet engineering and project timing.

Willing to work over 40 hours to meet client deadlines.

Familiar with interpretation and application of Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, and NFP.

Self-starter with ability to work independently and achieve results.

Experience with Caesar and Compress software (or similar 3D/FEA modeling tools) preferred.

Top 3 Requirements for Position:

Minimum 5 years engineering experience in the Chemical (or related) industry.

Experience in the area of Pipe Stress and Pressure Vessel Modeling preferred.

Skilled in the use of Excel, word and other computer software used in engineering applications.

Education Requirements

B.S. Mechanical Engineering Required, Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE Licensing is a plus.
