What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Financial Analyst position at CDM Smith?
Leads project teams and conducts highly complex analysis on the definition of strategic and operational KPIs and makes recommendations to senior leadership. Acts as a subject matter expert on the industry and the firm’s KPIs and provides insight into industry trends. Leads the development of highly complex planning and modeling tools for enterprise project budgeting, return on investment analysis, strategic planning, etc. Drives Senior Leadership decision-making on financial models, profitability scenarios and analyses to support strategic initiatives and process improvement. Prepares and presents recommendations to Senior Management and Executive Leadership. Performs ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Assists on mergers and acquisition transactions. Conducts market research and compiles benchmarking data. Analyzes highly complex financial and operational information and reports, in order to provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial and/or performance improvement recommendations. Supports management decision making and executive leadership with in-depth analysis and assessment of enterprise processes. Mentors more junior financial analysts on industry best practices in analysis, modeling and reporting. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. 8 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
