CDR Maguire Engineering is seeking a Survey Assistant to join the Survey Team in our Allentown, PA office. This position will work directly for experienced Licensed Surveyors and collaboratively with other surveyors and engineers on projects for state, regional, local, and private clients. This position will assist and support surveyors in field surveys; compile data, notes, and drawings for accurate mapping of topography; process field data, research maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys; and perform basic calculations to verify the accuracy of survey data. The successful candidate will have a command of fundamental surveying principles, tools, and software including a familiarity with field-to-finish automated survey workflows. MKA also performs UAS, terrestrial LiDAR scanning, and bathymetric surveys. Opportunities for career advancement are available.

Job Duties will include the following:
- Work as part of a survey crew to collect topography and field stake out features using various types of survey equipment such as levels, total stations, GPS, and UAS
- Collect field notes using both paper and electronic field books
- Process field collected data using computer software
- Base plan creation and drafting in AutoCAD and Microstation CAD platforms
- Research deeds and maps at the courthouse
- Use and maintain state of the art survey equipment
