Scope:
- This is a part time, nonexempt position.
- Expected work hours for the Team Lead position are 32 per week with overtime payment for work over 40 hours in a single week (Sunday-Saturday).
- We offer a stable and constant schedule but expect flexibility when business conditions or unexpected events take place. We accommodate individual needs for schedule adjustment. Work hours must fall within building hours.
- This position falls under the purview of the Merchandise Team, but also works closely and shares duties with the E-Commerce and Bookkeeping teams.
Job Description

- A successful Receiving Team Lead must have good communication skills and should be able to resolve issues, prioritize tasks and delegate according to the store’s needs and input from managers.
Responsibilities

Receiving & Processing:
This position determines workflow and management of Receiving Team. The ability to train and coach employees is integral to the work process.
Leadership is needed to intake shipments, while ensuring both accuracy and efficiency in a safe work environment. Also need to maintain accurate receiving logs and expedite product to the sales floor. Lead must communicate shipments received with management and buying staff to facilitate products reaching the sales floor in a timely fashion.
- Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, and lift 50 lbs
- Receipt and distribution of products to floor or back stock
- Update of inventory and financial information in POS/Inventory system
- Product problem resolution (damaged, NOO, short order, wrong item, etc.)
- Coordinate freight deliveries with vendors and shipping companies
- Oversee inventory of store packaging supplies (bags and boxes) and communicate with appropriate manager and vendor for ordering.
Claims & Product Issues:
Assist with invoice reconciliation as a method of problem-solving. Communicate with Buyers and Bookkeeping team to efficiently make claims to Vendor companies for damaged, missing or over shipped product. See process until finish and communicate resolution with appropriate teams.
E-Commerce Processing & Shipping:
- Manage and delegate product collection for website orders, communicate with E-Commerce Manager and Store Manager when utilizing other staff
- Process and expedite fulfillment of web orders in online and in-house inventory systems
- Ensure accuracy of orders and shipments, make decisions regarding errors, and resolve problems in fulfillment
- Communicate with customers as needed
- Package and ship orders as required
- Manage pickup requests with USPS, FedEX & UPS
Organization & Maintenance of Basement Stock Areas
Keep stock areas in basement tidy and ordered. Work with Merchandising team and Store Manager for staff assistance in reorganization or cleanliness.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Assist Receiving staff with routine maintenance of the sales floor and office spaces, as well as the assembly of fixtures and store displays. Complete light handiwork and janitorial duties on an as needed basis.
Provide support hours to the sales floor, including filling in sales associate shifts, restocking merchandise, covering lunch breaks and performing organizational tasks.
Perform any additional assigned tasks as quickly as possible, report back to the appropriate Manager upon completion.
