What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Supervisor Live Entertainment position at Cedar Fair?
The Live Entertainment Operations Supervisor for Performance assists with the casting process, assists with the show creation and production process, trains performance staff and assists with and/or runs rehearsals. This position will be supervising performers in various in-park productions, including singers, dancers, musicians, actors, and specialty artists during the operating season, as well as assisting with re-blocks/show modifications as needed during the operating season and assisting with personnel management/supervision.
How You'll Make A Difference:
- Responsible for assisting in coordination of all onstage performance applications and personnel within the Entertainment Department
- Oversees the operations of all theaters and productions
- Supervises Seasonal Area Supervisors
- Assists Full-Time production staff in the development and creation of in-house productions
- Assists with performer casting and audition coordination
- Assists with Associate onboarding, training, and scheduling
We're Looking For:
- Live performance experience at a professional level, including but not limited to experience/knowledge in choreography, music direction, music performance, or acting.
- A general knowledge of all theatrical elements, both performance and technical.
- Supervisory experience.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to travel for work purposes as needed.
- Ability to work nights, weekend, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
