Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is searching for a Full Time Unit Clerk / Central Supply to become a part of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team.

Qualifications :
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year clerical or related experience within a long-term or acute care setting
- Capable of reading, interpreting and writing medical terminology
- Must be knowledgeable of supply practices, procedures and guidelines
- Computer experience preferred
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public
Job Summary For Unit Clerk / Central Supply :
- Maintains an adequate inventory level of all office supplies for the nurse’s station and all units
- Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed and submitted as required.
- Assist in preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc and return to vendor as required.
- Make written and oral reports / recommendations to the Administrator as required.
- Ensure each department is properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposes including preparation of invoice approval forms.
- Delivers supplies and equipment as directed.
- Ensure supplies and equipment is properly maintained.
- Check purchase orders, supply invoices, packing slips for accuracy.
- Ensure inventory is updated as required to include checking inventory for expiration dates.
- Establish par levels for all inventories
- Schedule transportation for resident appointments through contracted transportation vendors
- Coordinate with the Staffing Coordinator when nursing staff is needed to accompany the resident on appointments
