Cedar Park Group is seeking a recruiting for a skilled commercial solar project manager.
In this role, you will develop and manage the scope of work for solar installation projects. This will include overseeing contracting, schedules, engineering plans/designs, construction and project close-out/commissioning procedures to ensure that project stakeholder commitments and company financial objectives are met. The Solar Project Manager will report directly to the Manager of Commercial Project Management. An ideal candidate has direct project management experience, is knowledgeable in the solar industry.
This role will:
- Direct and manage all personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project life-cycle from preliminary planning to job close-out.
- Schedule, conduct and report progress inspections for quality control and progress reporting on sites before, during and after active construction
- Track, report and measure progress, timelines, and milestones against plans and/or project budgets.
- Manage and coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and engineers on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactively assess and document project risks, contingency plans and any resulting changes in scope, schedule, and cost.
- Promote, track and document company safety and quality standards.
- Provide excellence in the management and delivery of the project, in-line with the client’s expectations.
- Prioritize, and delegate tasks across multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Strengthen and continually maintain client relationships.
- Balance the needs of various stakeholders including but not limited to: utilities, customers, and third party financiers
Requirements:
- Must have Construction Experience!
- Must have 5 years of relevant construction experience with 3 years of project management experience.
- 3 years of Engineering, Procurement, and Contracting (EPC) experience
- Minimum of 3 years of solar experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (equivalent is 5 years) experience.
- NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional or equivalent (Strongly Preferred)
- Project Management Professional Certification (Strongly Preferred)

- Capable of reviewing and understanding multi-trade construction drawings and specifications, as well as construction best practices across an array of trades, including surveying, civil, structural, and electrical construction.
- Possess organizational and process-oriented skills to clearly maintain project budgets, work and schedule progress, project documentation, correspondence, and related files.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficient using computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel & Project.
- Familiarity using Netsuite or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems.
Work Environment
This role is primarily sedentary and it is estimated 75% of this position will be performed remotely, and 25% in person. It is expected you will visit job sites 1-2x per month.
