The Opportunity

The Mortgage Advisor (MA) provides sales support to the Loan Officer to maintain and build client relationships. The MA will handle pre-purchase consultations, handle client follow up and be the Agent/Partner Communication throughout the transaction. MA will run lead management and conversion for the Team and assist the LO with proactive team growth.

 

What You’ll Contribute:

  • Provide an exceptional client experience
    1. Initial Dreams & Goals Calls with new prospects
    2. Taking applications over the phone
    3. Consultations – FTP/EAP
    4. Contract Meeting
    5. Post-Closing Call and Service (depending on your team structure)
  • Provide an exceptional experience for agents involved in the transaction
    1. Connect with Listing Agent after an offer is submitted to further sell the offer and share with them our process so that they understand exactly what to expect when working with a team of our caliber
    2. Once offer is accepted, touching base with the listing agent every few days to update them and continue to build a relationship with them
    3. For online leads – connect with the buyer’s agent or refer them to one of your agent partners or a high value agent that you are working to partner with (and do the same as you are doing for the listing agent above)
  • New Business Development
    1. At the end of the transaction, assuming everything went well and you’ve built great rapport with the agent, try and set a meeting either in your office or theirs to begin the business relationship (depending on how your team is structured, either you yourself would be going to the meeting, or your team lead/business development manager)
  •  Additional Daily Tasks
    1. Client Side
      • Following up with pre-approved clients weekly to keep them apprised of what’s going on in the market and giving them valuable information that will keep them motivated
      • Providing financial analyses for specific properties that clients are considering
      • Personally, handling any issues that may arise in a transaction
    2. Personal Growth
      • Staying on top of trainings to continue to perfect your sales process
      • Staying on top of mortgage guidelines to ensure no mistake ever happens twice on a file
    3. Weekend Coverage

 

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of current operation or sales experience in the mortgage lending industry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong PC skills; must be able to complete data entry with exceptional accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Promote a positive team work environment through the sharing of knowledge and skills
  • Experience with Encompass LOS systems a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and decipher policies, programs and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, take on new responsibilities and prioritize work in a deadline intensive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to influence through collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, high level of personal energy and commitment.
  • Problem solving skills as well as flexibility and adaptability are of key importance.
