What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programmatic Specialist position at Cendyn?

Job Purpose:

This role will have a strong passion for digital marketing as it relates to analysis and reporting, excellent technical credentials and advanced in-platform skills. You will be responsible for developing audience-centric campaigns, managing budgets and tracking ROI, all with the goal of driving returns for our clients and improving our programmatic execution.  

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Buying and optimization of programmatic media
  2. Socialize and document campaign structure, optimizations, and learnings
  3. Manage budget and pacing across campaigns to ensure business objectives are met and media delivers consistent returns for clients
  4. Implement and build on best practices for bidding, budget management, ad operations and reporting
  5. Analyze performance data to recommend optimization plans; analyze and compile weekly/monthly/quarterly data to find relevant insights to tell overarching stories
  6. Develop testing roadmap in collaboration with internal and external partners
  7. Research and recommend program optimizations; based on knowledge of platform-specific capabilities, site analytics, and media opportunities
  8. Cultivation and management of DSP vendor relationships and inventory partners
  9. Mentorship and training of junior team members

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

  1. BA or BS from accredited college or university
  2. 2 years of experience with programmatic buying and working experience utilizing Real-Time Bidding technologies (DSPs, Ad Exchanges, SSPs) is a must
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing complex client campaigns and relationships against performance metrics
  4. Proven ability to develop/implement/improve business processes
  5. Skilled in Excel, specifically with Pivot Tables and data analysis; Power Point a plus
  6. Advanced knowledge of Google Marketing Platform (CM, DV360, etc) and other DSP’s
  7. Comfortable working within large sets of data and numbers  
  8. Must be a self-starter with initiative and have a positive, proactive attitude
  9. Key attributes include the ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly, while maintaining attention to detail
  10. Proactive and capable of operating independently in a remote environment

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Hospitality marketing experience is helpful, but not required
  2. Google certification a plus

Expected Competencies:

  1. Highly motivated and willing to work closely within a team structure
  2. Able to problem solve, prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage time effectively
  3. Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to achieving objectives.
  4. Exceptional communication skills – both written and presentation.

Travel:

Travel may be required. Travel may be outside of the regular business hours.
