Where you'll work: This role is for candidates located in IL with a preference for candidates in the greater Chicago area. When you are not traveling in the territory, you will work virtually from home.

What You'll Do Here

This Gale Field Sales Consultant engages directly with a variety of customer groups, including teachers, librarians, curriculum specialists, principals, and school district administrators throughout key Illinois, North Dakota and South Dakota schools and districts. You’ll meet with current and prospective K12 customers on implementing technology and digital learning resources. This position works with schools to expand their use of digital resources for remote, hybrid and classroom learning, equitably to support all learners.

Sales Prospecting and execution

  • Master sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present digital product solutions.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals, including driving new business to cultivate growth within the territory.
  • Demonstrate a range of digital learning products across different subject areas and grade levels.
  • Use Sales Cloud and other sales tools to understand sales history, build detailed proposals, accurately forecast, and lead the territory.
  • Develop and implement strategic territory business plans.
  • Participate in networking opportunities such as industry conferences and events, when appropriate.
  • Travel 40-50% of time.

Skills You Will Need Here

  • Skills to formulate and carry out sales solutions.
  • Talent for cultivating effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Technology skills (CRM systems such as Salesforce/Sales Cloud are a plus).
  • Organizational and territory leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct online meetings and maintain a home office.
  • Ability to drive throughout the territory, including overnight travel, when allowable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales experience.

Preferred

  • Sales experience, with a track record of goal achievement.
  • Knowledge of K12 education, including curriculum, instruction and educational technology, learning management systems and supplemental digital classroom content.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
