GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The GTC Precious Metals Specialist is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all purchases, sales, and in-kind transactions for IRA accounts that hold precious metals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receives direction to purchase precious metals from client and / or precious metal broker dealer. This duty is performed daily.
2. Processes requests to purchase precious metals in operating system. This duty is performed daily.
3. Receives direction to liquidate precious metals from client and / or precious metal broker dealer. This duty is performed as needed.
4.Processes requests to liquidate precious metals in operating system. This duty is performed as needed.
5. Processes and prepares precious metals for In- kind distribution and inform depository of request. This duty is performed as needed.
6. Prepares various order preparation related to precious metals. This duty is performed as needed.
7. Reconciles with depository and ensure records are accurate. This duty is performed as needed.
8. Conducts research. This duty is performed as needed.
9. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
10. Completes required BSA / AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and / or on the job education in a specific skill area; data processing, clerical / administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
