Job Description:
The Hospitality Supervisor- Quick Serve is responsible for ensuring that guests receive an exceptional level of service by supervising Quick Serve staff and supporting the Quick Serve operations at all points of sale. They will assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to Quick Serve Leads and will monitor servers as they provide a variety of pre-made or fresh-to-order snacks, beverages and entrée items from Centerplate’s Quick Serve menu. Their top priority will be to ensure that the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained. Style of service may be either take-away, restaurant-style or in-seat service format. They will circulate throughout assigned locations within the venue’s levels, decks and concourses to monitor service within kiosks, mobile stands, permanent stand fixtures or cafes/bistros. They are responsible for ensuring that alcohol is being served responsibly throughout their assigned locations and for ensuring that Centerplate’s standards for handing monetary transactions are consistently in place. The Hospitality Supervisor- Quick Serve will plan and prepare in advance of games or events, will provide hands on supervision during events and will organize post-event closing and clean up.
Job Requirements:
Supervise and support Quick Serve staff in providing outstanding service to all customers.
Ensure that policies and procedures for processing Quick Serve customer sales transactions are adhered to.
Ensure that quality and safety standards are maintained.
Perform duties according to Centerplate procedure for opening and closing Quick Serve locations at start and close of business.
Work with Warehouse, Culinary and Operations teams to ensure all points of sale are properly stocked and supplied.
Assist in the training of Quick Serve staff; Observe, model and coach all guest service standards.
Ensure that all Quick Serve workers are present, in proper uniform and that all are well groomed; Delegate and assign responsibilities.
Ensure that responsible alcoholic beverage procedures are implemented and enforced throughout the venue.
Be fully knowledgeable of Quick Serve menu items; Assist in educating concession staff and serve as an information resource for any questions they may have.
Follow all Centerplate practices for safe food handling and proper hygiene, including wearing gloves, keeping hair tied back, hand washing, cross-contamination, etc.; Perform duties in accordance with ServSafe guidelines.
Provide consistent floor supervision during games and events; Ensure assigned work areas are clean and properly maintained.
Monitor flow of service and maintain continuous communication with kitchen.
Ensure that staff are assigned meal breaks and that proper time and attendance procedures are followed.
Assist in facilitating special guest requests; Intervene in instances of guest dissatisfaction; Work diligently to resolve issues and address concerns so that no guest leaves unhappy.
Coordinate the disposal or safe storage of leftover event food as prescribed by the Manager or Chef.
Train and monitor staff’s utilization of operational procedures for POS system and register to efficiently process guest purchases.
When needed, step in and help ring up guest orders to ensure timely service.
Verify merchandise cashier cash bank balances and prepare vault drops as necessary.
Review cash and receipts to assure accuracy.
Ensure that Quick Serve staff follows all guidelines for collecting payment, including credit card transactions and proper cash handling.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
College degree or combination of education and work experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
1-2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced foodservice facility preferred.
Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry in excess off 100 pounds occasionally.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
