What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Patient Access position at CentraCare?
Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | Day shift with some potential nights and weekends
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the planning, direction and operational management of Patient Access in our South West and Regional locations. This will include scheduling, pre-registration, authorizations and referrals. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of management experience in health care.
- 10 years of previous experience in admitting, billing office, or health care management with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM).
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of computerized admissions systems is required.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills necessary.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
