JOB SUMMARY:
Find your purpose at CentraCare as a Medical Access Assistant! This incumbent provides compassionate service to patients and clients while calmly managing patient and client communication, patient registration, coordination of paperwork, and answering telephones. Ensures clinic environment is calm, organized, and welcoming for patients and clients. Responsible for obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts. Supports a team-based care environment and collaborates with the team to ensure patients and clients have a positive and safe experience across the continuum of care.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Upon Hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two year post high school training in clerical, secretarial, or business area
- One year prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinic or hospital
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Customer service skills are essential.
- Good verbal and written communications skills required.
- Technical and industry knowledge to effectively resolve customer issues.
