This position will serve as a loan analyst for various lenders. Will assess creditworthiness of existing or prospective clients. This will include loan analysis, preparing the credit analysis on loans presented and performing the annual review of loans.

Essential Functions

Completes a thorough, in-depth analysis of new credit request, credit change requests, renewals and annual relationship reviews to assess creditworthiness of existing or prospective clients. Recommend risk rating changes when analysis merits.

Delivers a detailed multidimensional credit analysis in an accessible and informative manner while providing efficient, timely service to loan officers.

Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for lenders on new, renewal and existing loans.

Reports to the EVP any findings that may have an adverse effect on loan collateral or a borrower's ability to repay the loan. Will be responsible for submitting required reports as necessary.

Maintains a good working knowledge of the Bank's lending policies and procedures and identify exceptions to policy.

Monitors and ensures all credit files are complete, identifies any documentation deficiencies, and reports to the loan officer and if needed to the EVP for the timely resolution to maintain corporate asset quality on an ongoing basis.

Reviews loan files as needed to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with lending guidelines compliance.

Works with loan officers to anticipate, identify and collect documents needed for efficient, and timely approvals on new and existing credits.

Assists in maintaining the credit tracking system for all commercial loans.

Provides technical or other assistance to loan officers as needed.

Assist the Controller in establishing, coordinating, and maintaining an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the bank and its subsidiaries.

Performs a variety of routine and semi-complex accounting duties in the accounting department.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Expected to be flexible and work any days or hours necessary to complete job responsibilities. Expected to work, attend meetings or required training after hours as needed.

The interpersonal skills necessary to courteously greet customers and visitors, and to work with co-workers and supervisor to provide information and other assistance, and to positively represent the bank. Strong communication and presentation skills.

Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and stressful situations.

BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in administrative and client issues.

Must be able to understand financial data (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements, Financial Ratios, etc.) and be able to apply those skills as they pertain to the loan underwriting process. Must be organized, efficient, and able to work independently and be detail oriented in order to generate accurate reports.

Regard for all important details to assure accuracy in every transaction performed; detect errors; follow through on corrections and details.

Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written. Must be able to communicate throughout the organization and with all levels of staff as well as external contacts.

Must be highly competent with significant expertise in multiple computer software packages, primarily focused in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, but not exclusively.

Ability to effectively manage one's time to complete work according to established deadlines. The ability to prioritize tasks to make the best use of time for high priority tasks.

Principled and self-confident.

Physical demands in performing the duties of this position will require standing; walking, using hands to type, carry, handle and feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear and must be able to lift 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
