SALARY: District Salary Schedule – (Grade 64: $2,974.67 monthly – Starting Salary)

GENERAL DUTIES:
(1) To maintain and repair district and school building computers and support hardware.
(2) To repair, maintain, and upgrade technology-related equipment.
(3) Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
(4) To operate standard and specialized electronic devices in testing and troubleshooting computer and other technology-related equipment.
(5) To maintain an inventory of electronics components needed to make timely repairs.
(6) To use a work-order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment.
(7) Ability to refer complex problems to higher level technical support.
(8) To perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
(9) To maintain basic knowledge of electronic principles and fundamentals of physics as applied in electronics.
(10) To maintain general knowledge of computers and related technology devices.
(11) To maintain general knowledge of electronic devices.
(12) To maintain familiarity with the operation and uses of standard test equipment.
(13) To maintain basic knowledge of mathematical principles as applied in electronic circuit analysis.
(14) To systematically troubleshoots standard electronic devices.
(15) To communicate effectively with users.
(16) To participate in long and short range technology planning.
(17) To assist in developing and providing training to building level faculty and staff in the proper operation of the local area network.
(18) To attend classes, seminars, training sessions, conferences and review professional literature to enhance knowledge of trends and developments related to local area network systems.
(19) To perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
MUST BE ABLE TO:
Work in this classification is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds if force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a two-year college or technical school majoring in a computer, business or administrative support related field.
Comptia A certification preferred but not required.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Four years of experience in the use of computing and information technology resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
