Job Summary/Purpose:
Provide friendly service, support and assistance to all students and patrons using the Madras Campus computer lab & zoom technology.

- This is a part-time (<.50 FTE) Federal Work Study position
- Requires flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends as well as travel throughout the district when needed.
- Must have been awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2022-2023
- Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
- COCC employees must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
- The College is NOT able to support Visa applications for this position. Applicants must already be eligible to work in the United States to be considered for this position.
- Upon hire, must pass criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered.
Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent customer service to students and patrons utilizing the computer lab
- Maintain security of lab equipment and facilities
- Assist students with a wide range of college & computer questions
- Assist with hardware/software maintenance and clerical duties
- Facilitate the smooth operation of the computer lab: keep the lab clean and report machine and software problems
- Follow established procedures and work orders
- Provide assistance for campus events during the week and weekend work hours
- Provide assistance to campus staff in clerical and specific campus needs
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Other Ergonomic Requirements:
Working hours are regular, per the established work schedule. Work is performed in an ordinary office, mostly sitting. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature with the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting under ten pounds for 15 percent of the time. Computer screen is used more than 75 percent of the time. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Extended periods of sitting and may be required to lift upwards of 25 lbs (boxes of paper).
