Central Transport, LLC, a leader in LTL (less-than-truckload) transportation for more than 80 years is currently seeking an Accountant for one of our affiliate comapnies located in our Corporate Office in Warren, MI. Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting
- CPA license preferred
- 3-4 years Accounting experience (required)
- Experience with Microsoft Office; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Experience using Great Plains (preferred)
- Assertive personality with excellent customer service skills, dependability, and inquisitiveness
Responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, validation and processing of invoices and corresponding with vendors
- Analyzing and reconciling monthly statements and transactions
- Intercompany billing
- Verifying and processing check requests
- Creating weekly and monthly reports
- Miscellaneous cash accounting
- Assisting in the implementation of new financial systems
- Performing account reconciliations
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting compensation $50,000-75,000 based on experience.
