The VP of Sales leads a team of high performing sale professionals formulating strategic ways to achieve or exceed revenue expectations for each team member and the group. The position is responsible for communicating all sales strategies, goals, vision, value proposition, initiatives and results. Primary responsibilities are to develop a strong working relationship with each sales rep and each functional area to in order to meet customer expectations and the defined revenue goals for the group.
- Align, support and communicate individual and group objectives, priorities and projects.
- Be a strategic influence in the growth and development of your team and the overall organization through leadership, urgency in responsiveness, urgency of appropriate action.
- Communicate and mentor for consistency of mission throughout the sales team that aligns with the strategic plan and tactical objectives.
- Build mutual trust and foster collaboration among the leaders and each functional area.
- Work with counterparts in other groups/teams to drive cross collaboration among the different revenue streams.
- Establish business plans that meet both short and long term defined objectives.
- Maintain executive level relations with key customers within the group.
- Identify, develop, and retain talent to ensure the accomplishment of established targets.
- Demonstrate strategic leadership capability through design and implementation of a unified strategy to drive initiatives to create market advantage.
- Drive sales team engagement and a culture of accountability.
- Prefer a BA/BS din marketing, selling or business administration
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the printing/label industry
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing others
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical insight
- A proven track record of success.
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Prior experience using CRM tools such as SFDC
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, develop, and lead a team of high performing sales professionals
- A deep analytical ability, curiosity, passion and enjoys the process of analysis to drive sales
- Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, prioritization, organizational and follow-up
- Willing to travel up to 50% of time
- Excellent computer skills
