Summary:
Based out of our Midland office, the HR Generalist will play a critical role providing HR support for the Southern USA. This individual acts as a first point of contact for employees and managers for assigned customer groups, provides advice on HR matters, and supports the administration of programs and initiatives in alignment with operational and departmental goals. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, Southern USA this role will provide overall support on HR administration, guidance on employee relations, and support with talent acquisition, and DEI initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Delivers superior customer service and works collaboratively with Human Resources team members to proactively share best practices and processes
· Maintains personnel records, ensuring compliance with audit and privacy legislation requirements
· Is the first point of contact for employee queries and questions
· Builds and nurtures strong relationships with leaders and key stakeholders to enhance, align and drive the effectiveness of HR initiatives
· Supports management by providing HR direction, advice and counsel on complex employee relation matters, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
· Promotes the role of Human Resources and enhances the credibility and integrity of the function
· In partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, participates in and supports recruitment activities and DEI initiatives for the client group
Requirements:
· Post-secondary education in human resources or related field
· 5 years’ of HR experience
· Ability to navigate effectively through ambiguity
· Knowledge of oil and gas industry as well as experience with start ups or high growth companies is considered an asset
· Excellent customer service skills with ability to multitask a variety of projects under pressure and tight deadlines
· Excellent communication skills and ability to interact knowledgeably and diplomatically at all levels
· Experience and comfort working in a fact-paced, ever changing business environment
· Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
· Strong ability to think critically and take initiative when resolving issues
