Retail Counselor

Job Summary:

Provide support for the warehouse by managing and consulting assigned accounts, in sales and profitability. Act as a liaison between Certco and retail accounts to grow customer relations and improve retail service usage. Identify customer needs and opportunities to preserve existing business and develop new business. Encourage owners to support their company by purchasing product through their company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide customer support and training, set goals for improved profitability for the customer and Certco.
• Identify and schedule appointments and project the number of contacts weekly.
• Sell programs to existing accounts and promote positive relations with Certco.
• Promote the value of Private Brand and Certco's other products to expand or exceed set goals.
• Take a hands-on approach in resets, remodels, and new store openings.
• Issue and deliver sales material and promotions to accounts across our service area.
• Identify, diagnose & respond to specific account needs to enhance customer service & satisfaction.
• Interacts with management, internal departments and warehouse for information and problem resolution to ensure customer satisfaction
• Participates in the development of sales goals and objectives for Certco
• Keeps abreast of market and product developments
• Prepares a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Reports on special developments, competitive information, trends and other feedback gathered through field activity.
• Work independently.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2-3 year's sales/counselors experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of grocery retail store practices, and wholesales principles.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent and excellent math skills.

Salary : $41,900 - $53,100
