As a Service Manager for our Certified Fleet Service, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our maintenance and repair operations. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and support staff to ensure that all vehicles in our fleet are maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.

You will lead a team of skilled technicians and support staff to ensure that all vehicles in our fleet are maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Service Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control
- Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure that all vehicles are serviced according to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices
- Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure timely completion of repairs and minimize downtime
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as repair turnaround time, first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor service technicians to enhance their skills and performance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments, such as fleet operations and procurement, to optimize fleet performance and reduce operating costs
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing their service needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Stay current with developments in automotive technology and industry trends
Service Manager Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in automotive service management, preferably in a fleet maintenance environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficiency in fleet management software and other relevant computer applications
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic tools and equipment
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to fleet maintenance and safety
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
- Minimum 4 years of automotive/truck repair experience required
- Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
- Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, truck shop environment, and cold or heat
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
