What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mgr, IT TMS Solutions position at Ceva Logistics?

YOUR ROLE

Manage an implementation team with responsibilities for conducting business analysis as it relates to software, processes or design for project planning requirements analysis, software testing, configurations, or end-user training activities for business applications and makes recommendations for the most effective methods to meet the needs of the organization.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Utilize advanced communications and presentation skills to accomplish objectives and maintain effective working relationships with executives, managers, and staff in both IT and business unit organizations.
  • Develop and implement planning, process, metrics, budgeting, training, staffing and monitoring programs that effectively and efficiently manage delivery and risks for assigned projects, programs, and teams.
  • Perform advanced analysis, process design or system configuration, testing implementation and/or support of applications, processes or controls that will allow the achievement of project goals.
  • Establish specifications and objectives based on business requirements and cost effectiveness.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and execute modifications of basic IT systems that considers changes in business requirements or equipment configurations that would improve and simplify business systems and reduce operating costs.
  • Coordinate activities of cross-functional teams to achieve various aspects of IT projects, including work plans, system design and/or testing of existing systems.
  • Work with the business to provide data, systems, and technology for effective and efficient use of business applications, processes, or controls to ensure successful integration of all projects, enhancements, maintenance, and problem resolution.
  • Follow established policies and procedures; determine and recommend potential enhancements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum seven years' work experience in Information Technology development and maintenance with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Minimum five years supervisory or managerial experience required.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Certifications and professional credentials as required for the position.

Languages and Communication Skills

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, and vendors.

Computer Skills

  • Computer literate
  • Intermediate to expert skill in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of SQL, XML, ASCII, JSON is a plus

Other Skills/Experience

  • Prior experience leading large or complex teams engaged in complex development or support scenarios.
  • Advanced knowledge of application and infrastructure systems, including complex relationships between operating systems, storage systems, databases, web services
  • Advanced business analysis skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in requirements gathering, configuration and testing.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies with a focus on developing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals, implementing business requirements analysis and testing processes, and identifying timeline constraints, and risks.
  • In-depth knowledge of the specific applications supported.
  • Strong IT background and experience in application(s) issues resolution.
  • Ability to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-team environment.
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department including purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses.

Effectively markets products and services in a way that aligns with business plans and priorities. Able to demonstrate to customers the impact on business results.
