Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of DDA and Savings Account transactions as well as other customer related services including sales of bank checks. This position supports and assists branch staff by adhering to the bank’s established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is also responsible for the security of assigned cash which must be maintained and balanced within established guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process deposits to customers’ accounts, issue cashier’s checks and redeem savings bonds.
• Accept deposits and provide customers with account information.
• Possess a working knowledge of applicable bank regulations & policies including Reg CC (check holds) and Bank Secrecy Act (Monetary Instrument log, CTRs, and SAR reporting).
• Verify endorsements and cash checks according to established policies and procedures. Ensure that all check transactions are scanned, balanced, reconciled, and transmitted daily.
• Responsible for buying/selling cash to ensure adequate cash is maintained and limits are adhered to according to bank policies.
• Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Processes transactions from ATM Machines.
• Balances cash drawer at the end of the day.
• Assists in special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good interpersonal communication and computer skills.
  
  

Education, Training, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
  

Salary: $18/hour
