Position Description
CGI is looking for a strong Data Analyst with 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst in banking/finance. You will help us build a Tier 1 Operational Reporting Hub. The application will provide a core agnostic view of data and will help with detailed analysis and investigation of data.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Support the delivery of design, code or testing for modules or multiple functions related to development initiatives.
• Prepare requirement definition, design, technical specifications.
• Analyze user requirements and defines technical project scope and assumptions for assigned tasks.
• Create business and/or technical designs for new systems, and/or modifications to existing systems.
• Support system and end-to-end testing efforts with triage, troubleshooting, and fixes for identified issues.
• Lead design and development sessions, as required.
• Serve as the technical point of contact between product management, development team and clients
• Solicit, comprehend, and analyze business data, objectives, and processes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Proficiency in developing SQL with various relational databases like Oracle, Exadata.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Have worked with Mainframe as a source of data
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• Strong with relational database concepts and types.
• Independently perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and solution development.
• Experience with common development and project tools: Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, source control.
• Retail banking industry experience.
• Team oriented.
• Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
