CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for all electronic systems and computerized controls for the facility, including locking systems, fire alarm systems, intercom/public address systems, closed circuit TV, nurse-call, and other security-related systems. This position will be based at Sussex II Prison, but it is a roving job, and you will be assigned a company truck.
Essential Job Functions:
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute all preventive maintenance schedules on time per manufacturers’ specifications or client requirements.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks such as work order documentation and general record keeping.
- Facility Familiarization: Familiarize yourself with the design and layout of the facility and the locations of installed electronic equipment and systems.
- Security Procedures: Understand correctional operations and security procedures as they relate to electronic systems in the facility.
- CMMS Development: Assist in developing and maintaining a computerized maintenance management database (CMMS), preventive maintenance schedules, warranty status, and inventory for spare parts, materials, and supplies.
- Client Relations: Maintain a professional relationship with client staff, answer questions, provide solutions, and make recommendations. Serve as a technical advisor during client meetings and presentations.
- Technical Proficiency: Perform work using electronic test equipment effectively. Inspect building security and electronic systems competently.
- System Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on smoke detectors and related control systems. Handle preventive and corrective electronics maintenance work orders.
- Blueprints and Schematics: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Compliance: Ensure all work conforms to standards per contractual agreements with the client, as well as quality, accuracy, and OSHA codes and regulations.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workplace during and after performing maintenance tasks.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
