Entry Level IT Systems Analyst

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 

• Work closely with the Director of Information Technology and participate in shaping the overall strategy for the Firm’s hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premise and cloud-based systems and applications.
• Ensure the security and compliance of all infrastructure assets, including the implementation of appropriate controls and monitoring systems
• Work with the IT team to optimize the use of cloud resources, including the implementation of cost-effective solutions and the management of cloud-based workloads
• Drive innovation and efficiency across the organization by identifying and implementing new technologies and practices that improve the performance and reliability of the hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Oversee the success of Data Centers and all compute, storage, monitoring, and remote access
• Manage support contracts, service providers, and outside vendors.
• Manage selected software license purchasing, upgrades, deployment and tracking.
• Oversee all IT hardware and infrastructure purchasing to ensure best pricing and service.
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and direction to team members on all matters related to the hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Create and adhere to a budget, negotiating with vendors as needed
• Manage redundant data center operations to ensure high availability and business continuity
• Develop, maintain and test comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Effectively manage a team of high-performing individual contributors

 
Skills and Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in conjunction with advanced technical or managerial credentials with a focus in Project Management, Information Technology Service Management, or similar.

• Five (5 ) or more years of experience in information management with strong understanding of hybrid cloud technologies and architectures. Experience implementing cloud solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform strongly preferred.

• Understanding of the business of law firms, including risk management issues.
• Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of technical staff, to work with executive management and to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance best practices, including experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Exceptional work ethic and professional demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications for varying audiences.
• Demonstrated project portfolio management skills (project intake, resource demand planning, budget management).
• Ability to meet deadlines, to conduct and direct research into issues and products and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
