Overview
The Regional Sales Manager directs their assigned Chadwell Supply sales personnel and manages functions essential to sales force productivity in revenue and profit growth for their assigned markets. These functions include participating in planning, reporting, field sales support and troubleshooting, customer retention and market expansion strategies, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program creation, and administration, and recruiting of sales force talent.
Duties
- Develop plans & strategies for developing business and achieving sales & gross profit goals in their assigned markets
- Manage their sales team personnel and collaborate with operations and other departments, utilizing available resources to deliver profitable revenue and market growth.
- Direct contact with customers at all levels from on-site to executive management with focus on customer service and problem resolution.
- Continual evaluation of sales performance at the individual, market, and regional levels, providing valuable feedback and strategic support in order to obtain maximum productivity and success in all critical areas of sales.
- Directly involved in the optimal deployment of sales personnel in their markets. Makes recommendations for changing sales roles, coverage models, or team configurations in order to maximize sales productivity.
- Monitor market competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team to collaborate in the development of ongoing competitive assessments and strategies.
- Work closely with the marketing department and Regional VP to create successful vehicles to increase brand awareness and greater market penetration for all channels and partner programs within their specific region.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers, prospects and vendors that produce large sales and profit potential.
- Communicates regularly with the account management team and corporate payables representatives as a liaison to both during the collection process.
- Involvement in all large scale renovation proposals, contributing strategies and expertise in the planning, execution, and collection of major renovations within region.
- Responsible for contributing to and carrying out regional and local sales plans strategies developed to increase sales revenue and profit, drive market penetration and improve key customer relationships while allocating adequate resources consistent with company financial objectives.
- Works with IT, HR, and Marketing departments to obtain all sales tools and required documents for new sales employees in their specific region. Ensures both new hire and on-going training events are attended as per company guidelines.
- Directly involved in all hiring, firing, and personnel disciplinary actions for region. Regularly consults with Regional VP prior to any hiring or major disciplinary action.
Requirements
- You must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- You must have good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with customers, sales personnel, managers and coworkers.
- You must have outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive-level customers and partners.
- Must have at least 5 years sales experience in comparable industries, with 2 years in a senior management position.
