Summary of Position:
Responsible to generate sales forecast monthly based on historical sales data, trends, sales input generated through S&OP meetings, customer POS information and general economics conditions. Utilizes various operating systems and bolt on applications to assist in the creation of the forecast. Uses manufacturing and supplier lead times and variation in demand to generate safety stock recommendations by SKU. Manages EOL products through to final sale through to ensure obsolescence is managed. Maintains a 30, 60, 90 day forecast file and reports forecast accuracy against established KPIs. Calculates inventory turns by SKU and performs analysis to determine root cause and recommendations for improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using the 80/20 rule, create a sales forecast for all Outdoor Living books of business. This forecast will be by customer by SKU.
- Provide forecast in an executable format for upload to operating system.
- Coordinate and manage monthly S&OP meetings. Communicate with specific customers as required.
- Recommend safety stock levels based on variability of demand to achieve required service levels while minimizing total inventory dollars.
- Recommend and track Key performance indicators to track progress in areas to include On Time Delivery, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turns by SKU, Excess and Obsolete as a percent of total inventory, Out of Stocks, and others as required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 to 5 years forecasting experience
