Job Description:

This is a Full-Time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm generally with on call responsibilities with a pay rate of $33.00/hr.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Participates in the hiring process of direct care staff as well as the orientation of new staff and ongoing in-service training of all residential staff. Conducts monthly staff meetings and maintain minutes

Completes probation and annual staff evaluation for review by the Program Director.

Coordinates staff work scheduled and relief staff scheduling and manages scheduling and time and attendance for the agency.

Assists the Program Director with the development of residential programming for intellectually disabled and physically impaired adults.

Assists the Program Director with the development, review and assessment of program policies and procedures.

Assists the Program Director with the development of residential programming for developmentally disabled and physically impaired adults.

Assists Program Director in planning and monitoring program budget.

Oversees the daily operation of the residence and general record keeping procedure including client records, fire and safety records, employee time sheets and financial records, purchases of food and supplies, and petty cash accounting.

Coordinates and maintains physical plant operations of the residence, using WorxHub software to report maintenance concerns.

In conjunction with Program Services Specialist, acts as liaison to day programs which individuals are enrolled.

Ensures all admission and discharge procedures are followed.

Meets the daily needs of the program and ensures communication to Program Director. Assists direct care staff and fulfills requirements of Residence Counselor as needed to assure program continuity.

Develop and maintain liaison with community agencies.

Conduct "monitoring visits" to the IRA program outside of regularly scheduled work hours so that knowledge of IRA operation can be obtained for the various work shifts and to monitor provision of active treatment services.

Maintains awareness of OPWDD regulatory changes and Medicaid billing and documentation guidelines for IRAs.

As needed, participate in on-call rotation and work evenings and/or weekend hours to monitor provision of appropriate program services to IRA individuals and to train direct care staff.

Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws. Adheres to the facility's confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees, as necessary to perform job duties.

Performs additional duties as required by the Program Director/Assistant Program Director or Designee.



Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum Associate's degree in one of the following areas: Social Work, Human Services, Special Education, Recreational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech, Vocational Rehabilitation OR one year's experience with ID preferred in an OPWDD setting (QIDP).

General knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA) and related OPWDD certified programs and services preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based software products including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.

Proven leadership ability required, consensus-oriented, participatory management style preferred.

Previous experience with human resources and/or staff supervision, preferred.

Value for high quality customer service standards, with ability to effectively and courteously deal with the public and coworkers in person and on the telephone in a busy, multi-task environment, required.

Adequate problem solving skills for assuring effective and appropriate patient/customer outcomes.

Sufficient time management capabilities to accomplish assigned duties and prioritize among multiple tasks.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient-related information.

Demonstrated understanding and implementation of the core values of our organization relating to Ethics, Relationships and Success, as shown by daily actions.
