The Role:
The Director of Events will be passionate about in-person and engaging events with rich history in planning and executing creative, yet commercial experiences. Running the Events function for North America, you will be a key player in driving growth by bringing Tilbury Theatre to everyone one event at a time. You will think innovatively to provide an enriched customer experience that both educates and entertains until the point of purchase.
Role Accountabilities:
- Manage 2 direct reports
- Responsible for building and managing an overall events budget to drive all retailers events strategies. Lead business case conversations with Finance on any additional needs/opportunities.
- Responsible for all wholesale events – both virtual and instore, Event in a Box, larger scale PA Masterclasses, and counter led initiatives.
- Ownership of fully aggregated event calendar liaising between all cross-functional teams.
- Lead event conceptualization, the bigger the better, always innovating, disrupting, and improving - learning from each execution.
- Host weekly cross functional calls and lead status updates, ideation sessions.
- Works closely with the virtual events team on conceptualization, consumer journey mapping, to actual execution.
- Briefing all cross-functional teams on various aspects of event management. This includes briefing Visual Merchandising team for instore elements, Education teams for consumer journey mapping, Marketing teams for TOA/GWP selection
- Partner with commercial on AOV’s, product focuses / assortment, etc.
- Liaison with retailers directly for approval of concept and visual material. Expectation is to lead event topics across all retailer calls.
- Book dates and coordinate logistics with field sales lead.
- Work closely with commercial and field sales leaders to define store level retail sales goals.
- Manage the production of event materials, allocation by doors and coordination & communication of deliveries to the doors.
- Lead swag strategy –Work closely with all cross-functional partners on opportunities and new ideas based on competition to stay ahead of the curve. Identify needs and allocation by retailer including monthly updates on inventory consumption.
- Manage storage unit and full inventory accountability to allow for seamless event planning.
- Plan and lead field facing event kick off calls for every event inclusive of full ownership of event kick off decks.
- Manage event postmortems and communicate wins and learnings to the larger team post event.
