Ensuring Chart’s Success…
The Human Resources Generalist will provide effective and consistent delivery of human resources services and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This individual will build collaborative relationships and provide guidance and coaching to managers, and employees, while ensuring alignment with Chart’s mission, vision and values. The successful HR Generalist will be a nimble learner with the ability to apply strong problem-solving and sound judgement skills.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Recruit for both hourly and salary positions; facilitate weekly new hire orientation and partner with supervisors to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new team members
- Develop and maintain relationships with Georgia trade schools and high schools to ensure a steady pipeline of craft workers to include participating in job fairs and community events
- Manage active COVID cases, including intake calls with employees, determining return to work dates and necessary documentation
- Manage 3rd party staffing relationships
- Partner with supervisors and managers to work through employee performance issues, including managing the attendance program for hourly staff
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters
- Liaison between corporate benefits team and facility employees to ensure issues are escalated and resolved
- Conduct internal investigations related to conflicts between employees as well as employee and supervisor
- Special projects and assignments, as needed
Your Education Should Be…
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university
- PHR or SHRM-CP, a plus
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- May need to lift 15 pounds
- Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- 3 to 5 years Human Resources generalist experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Recruiting and employee relations experience
- Experience working with vendors to resolve issues on behalf of employees, highly desirable
- General knowledge of employee benefits and Georgia employment law
- Demonstrated ability to listen with patience and respond to high level, controversial issues applying sound judgement and appropriate behaviors
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong, trusting relationships across an organization and division
- Demonstrated ability to use research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills
- Experience working with HR management systems, SAP a plus
