TITLE: Sr. Platform Engineer
LOCATION: Morrisville, NC
JOB SUMMARY: Member of team responsible for building platforms, automation, support, and maintenance of Charter's eCommerce on-line ordering platforms. Collaborate on several highly complex projects and initiatives, including the business' on-line ordering and Adobe Experience Manager applications. Develop and enhance CI/CD pipeline solutions to automate deployments. Collaborate with architects and others for future system enhancements and scalability. Utilize telemetry and analytics tools to troubleshoot complex problems. Create software deployment plans. Write and update automated scripts for installation of server software products. Configure necessary hardware and virtual machines. Update infrastructure and operating systems (OS) for applications. Install and upgrade third party software. Monitor systems performance, reliability, and daily data processing. Support and develop software applications running on the following platforms: JBOSS, WebLogic, or Apache. Build CI/CD solutions utilizing Jenkins, Puppet, or Groovy. Write and maintain scripts written in Python, Ruby, or Groovy. Perform Linux Systems Administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance management.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3 years of experience: supporting and developing software applications running on the following platforms: JBOSS, WebLogic, or Apache; building CI/CD solutions utilizing Jenkins, Puppet, or Groovy; writing and maintaining scripts written in Python, Ruby, or Groovy; and in Linux Systems Administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance management. Remote work permitted up to 2 days per week. National travel required up to 4 times per year.
