What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX Designer position at CheckWriters?
Our Development team is growing! We are looking for a UX Designer to aide our team in understanding user needs, create and communicate design ideas, and collaborate across Engineers and stakeholders to ensure an appropriate design.

Responsibilities include:
- Be a user advocate and help the team understand user needs.
- Wireframing, mockups, and prototyping to communicate design ideas.
- Create and run usability tests to validate assumptions and designs.
- Collaborate with Engineers to ensure correct implementation of design and behaviors.
- Create, maintain, and extent a design system to ensure a consistent experience.
What we’re looking for:
- 2 years of experience working in UX design, interaction design, or visual design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Wireframing, prototyping, and experience with design tools (Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Solid understanding of software design principles, best practices, and dependencies.
- Portfolio showcasing your proficiency in translating user needs into great product experiences.
