Chemours is seeking a Senior Mining Specialist to join our Process Innovation Group within our Titanium Technologies business to play a critical role in the evaluation of ore supplies, and developing technologies that enable handling of wide range of ore specifications. The position will report to the Process Innovation Leader, and work closely with other key departments such as procurement, supply chain, and the Minerals business. We are open to candidates for this role being based at either of our mining sites in Jesup (Georgia) or Starke (Florida), or at our state-of-the-art research facility, the Chemours Discovery Hub, in Newark (Delaware). The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of ore bodies for their suitability and value in TiO2 manufacturing process Provide expert consultation and strategic guidance on potential future ore bodies and recommend potential collaborative/commercial partnerships Leverage extensive external networks, including geological survey institutions, to advance our strategic objectives and identify future ore opportunities Oversee validation, management, and analysis of external and internal geochemical data Collaborate with external partners to assess targeted ore beneficiation technologies Enhance the analytical framework for our ore evaluation processes, ensuring the highest standards of analytical work Lead geochemical characterization studies to support our processing and exploration activities Assisting process technology development work related to ore handling Assist in the development and implementation of succession planning for geological expertise within our mining division The following is required for this role: Bachelor's degree in Geology or Mine Engineering, or related field with a focus on mineralogy and geochemistry – advanced degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration and separations, with a specific emphasis on TiO2 ore bodies Proven track record of successful evaluation and development of mining projects Strong understanding of geochemical data management and analytical techniques Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners Excellent communication and networking skills, with an ability to influence and engage stakeholders Benefits: Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Days We’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets. Pay Range (in local currency): $120,064.00 - $187,600.00 Chemours Level: 27 Annual Bonus Target: 14% The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation.
