Job Description About: Length: One year (long term internship) Location: Fully remote Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Flexible schedule (at least 1 hour has to be within business hours) Weekly Hour Requirement: Spring & Fall Semester 20 hours and Summer Semester 40 hours Position Purpose This role supports the US Transportation and Logistics teams with continuous improvement projects focusing on People, Customer, Cost and Environment. This roles’ primary aim is to assist in the implementation of our Transport Decarbonization Program in the United States. Research and assist with delivering projects in close collaboration with our Transportation, Planning and Logistics working toward our 2030 Decarbonization objectives. Major/Key Accountabilities Assist in efforts to achieve our transport decarbonization targets across the US through implementing our transport partner decarbonization strategy and further development in line with our Transport team for all our business units (Pallets & Containers included). Investigate and understand the latest technological developments related to decarbonization and evaluating the application and potential benefit to our US supply chain. Assist on delivery of specific decarbonization projects and industry collaboration opportunities such as alternative fuels, new types of engines and any other options to reduce our CO2 emissions footprint. Liaising with the Global Supply Chain Decarbonization team to report on progress made against Logistics decarbonization goals. Share knowledge with cross-regional Logistics teams. Liaising with our Transport team to ensure that projects which affect the US Supply Chain decarbonization goals are effectively evaluated, scoped, designed, and implemented Actively participate in the Transport team meetings to offer support on decarbonization and transport collaboration. Supporting and actively participating in customer related projects and sessions to share best practice related to our decarbonization journey and to engage on common projects to improve our emissions footprint through collaboration. Sustainability or similar is required.
