Nurse Researcher
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, lawful resident alien, citizen of American Samoa or other territory owning permanent allegiance to the United States.
The Nurse shall collect comprehensive, accurate data relating to trauma patients and patient safety by reviewing all trajectories of care. The Nurse shall coordinate with fixed Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and mobile deployed teams throughout the combatant commands on trauma care, Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) updates, PI programs, analysis of injuries and resuscitative care, and opportunities to improve combat casualty care and the documentation of that care.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Nurse Researcher: $80,000 - $100,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Nurse Researcher Responsibilities Include:
- The Nurse shall collect comprehensive, accurate data relating to trauma patients and patient safety by reviewing all trajectories of care. The Nurse shall coordinate with fixed Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and mobile deployed teams throughout the combatant commands on trauma care, Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) updates, PI programs, analysis of injuries and resuscitative care, and opportunities to improve combat casualty care and the documentation of that care.
- The Nurse shall provide performance improvement plans/reports for combatant command trauma system, MTFs, and mobile trauma teams on a quarterly basis to improve compliance with CPGs.
- The Nurse shall serve as a trauma and patient safety expert and assist the Chief, JTS with periodic and ad hoc committee/training activities for the Defense Committees on Trauma, DoDTR users, and fixed MTFs that are verified by the American College of Surgeons.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Nurse Researcher Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Nurse employees performing these services shall have an active, unrestricted nursing license in one of the fifty U.S. states, U.S. territories, or the District of Columbia. The Nurse employee will have a background in trauma care, patient safety and or performance improvement leadership roles. The contract employee will be educationally prepared with a DNP or PhD level, in nursing, education or research.
- Possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
