What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Manager position at Cherokee Federal?
SUMMARY
Lead the development, implementation, and management of IT solutions to enhance the capabilities of Cherokee Federal technologies. Manage a team that will conduct research, both internal and external, to maximize the value of Cherokee Federal's portfolio of enterprise applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, other solutions managers, and subject matter experts to create solutions which drive value and efficiency for the organization to allow Cherokee Federal to operate at scale.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Solutions Manager: Pay commensurate with experience plus bonus.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Solutions Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Understands, articulates, and implements best practices for one or more supported applications.
- Understands business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Conducts regular meetings to update stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Provides, plans, and performs research and designs assessments in the assigned specific technical area.
- Conducts feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.
- Creates and maintains detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and defines project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Provides advice, support and guidance as needed and serves as mentor to colleagues.
- Manages vendor relationships and negotiations.
- Ensures solutions are operational 24x7 to meet our operational service level agreement with the business.
- Establishes departmental operating metrics and key performance indicators.
- Stays updated with industry trends and best practices related to solution development and management.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Solutions Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or software development and at least (2) years of leading or managing projects or people experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience leading and managing the development and implementation of complex solutions required.
- Advanced knowledge in project management methodologies and tools.
- Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of business processes, enterprise systems, and technology landscapes.
- Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers and team members.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
