The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager with the oversight of the restaurant, room service and other food and beverage operations while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a profitable operation.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of restaurant employees as needed; hire, train, develop, assess and empower staffto achieve the department's goals.• If needed, create staff schedules to ensure that demand is met and that restaurant is operating efficiently.• Plan and direct food and beverage preparation and visually inspect all products sent from the kitchen and bar to ensure quality and timeliness.• Establish presentation technique and quality standards for the restaurant as needed.• Assist in the estimation of food and beverage consumption and demand and ordering of supplies and ingredients.• Assist in the monitoring, controlling and management of restaurant costs and expenses according to the budget.• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.• Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance.• Practice and ensure restaurant cleanliness, correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal,state, local and company regulations.• Ensure and train employees to maintain a safe and secure environment at all times.• Be aware of inventory at all times and requisition daily supplies as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure that the restaurant is set-up, organized and cleaned prior to opening and at the end of the shift according tooperational policies and standards to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.• Fill in and support employees as needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Ability to attend to guests, associates and management in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner which requires strong customer service as well as written and oral communication skills.• Must be able to speak, read, write and communicate in English to adequately perform the duties of the job.• Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette service standards.• Strong leadership skills to rally and motivate staff.• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.• Must be detail-oriented in reviewing final drink and food products and general oversight of the restaurant.• Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate daily workload
