Summary
This role works closely with managers to recruit, interview, and develop recruitment strategies specific to various specialty areas of patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the unit culture and its recruitment needs; develop and maintain a strong rapport with key leaders in the department; attend departmental staff and other meetings as requested to acquire substantial knowledge about the department's business objectives, goals, operations and work culture. Set expectations (develop roles and responsibilities).
Execute recruitment plan by aggressively recruiting for well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources, managing selection process to include interviewing, assessing candidates, screening, and recommending finalists, and filling the staffing needs within the defined service and performance criteria.
Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position. Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.
Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Utilize Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
Develop and maintain contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
Analyze demographics data and hiring activity for use in designing recruitment plans.
Coordinate participation in, set up display, and recruit at job fairs.
Make presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.
Work with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates, as directed.
Provide information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants.
Perform reference and background checks on applicants.

Education and/or Experience
B.S. degree in related discipline.
If an RN currently licensed in the state of Virginia or a compact state, will be considered. BSN candidates are preferred.
One to two years recruiting experience preferred. Previousl healthcare recruiting helpful.
HR Certification preferred.
